The flys were very friendly during Melissa and Bretts engagement session in Bold Park, but nothing can be friendlier than Poppy, their standard poodle. She bounced around happily chasing her ball and moved so fast that I had to put on my game face on so I could focus quick enough. We moved on to Reabold Hill and finished up at City Beach for sunset. The next time we see Melissa and Brett will be at there their wedding at Kings Park.
Sandra and Darren are set to be married in July down in the breathtakingly beautiful Denmark in our South West Region of Western Australia. I’m excited to be shooting a winter wedding in Denmark because everything will be extra green and lush, although the south west is always beautiful all year round. We shot their engagement session in amongst the trees and long grass along the Canning River just south of Perth. Sandra is fun and bubbly which perfectly compliments Darren who is a little more quiet and reserved. Together they are a warm and happy pair and I cant wait to meet all their friends and family next year at their wedding.
This family is amazing in so many ways, not only did they bring along homemade granola, they also got up extra bright and early to for a morning engagement session with me in Claremont.
Little Emma was all smiles and enjoyed eating all kinds of fruit cut into cute love hearts.
Also, something else worth mentioning is Tims watch. I’m not usually one for watches, but this one is made of wood,! I found myself searching for random things made out of wood on Pinterest later that day.
Spending time with Tim and Bex has made me even more excited for their wedding in less than four short weeks, Yay!
The day is the 5th of October 2013, and the clouds have begun to gather above as we set out to photograph the Bride Jayme, and groom Kyle getting ready for their wedding that afternoon. The rain held off, all the way until it was time for the bride to depart and then in begun. Whilst I am sure everybody had their fingers crossed and their lucky charms on, the drizzle persisted. But ask anybody present, and I am certain they will agree that not even a monsoon would have put a dampener on the spirits of the happily married couple. Within 5 minutes of the ceremony ending, the rain came to an abrupt halt! We got to work with the bridal party to make the most of the sunlight (yes, sunlight!) and blue sky (yep, that too!). The groom and his family have a great taste in cars, and these two very photogenic wedding cars were provided by his family for the day. The Boab Tavern in High Wycombe was a brilliant reception venue well suited to the couple. We loved the table centerpieces, glowing with light from small LED’s buried in the bottom. The father of the bride provided entertainment with his band at different points throughout the evening, and in between set’s was some wonderful acoustic music provided by Tim Roose, we loved his cover of Radioactive by Imagine Dragons. Check out his Facebook page Tim Roose Music. Even the groom himself got up on stage to belt out a few songs, much to the delight of the guests! If you loved some of the details in this wedding as much as we did, then check out the suppliers! The invitations were by Starfish Lane, bridemaids shoes by Rivers, brides shoes by Betts. The groomsmen’s suits were purchased from Man To Man carousel and the bridesmaids dresses from Ally Fashion. The wedding cake was made by a friend, as were the stubby holders, and of course the reception was held at the Boab Tavern.
A few weeks ago I did a promo photoshoot for The Greening Project starring two beautiful girls, Cathryn and Eloise.
The Greening Project is an exciting new not-for-profit organisation in Perth, Western Australia. They actively connect communities through the shared experience of growing trees and the celebration of planting trees. They work locally and organize tree planting festivals in your community!
Anyone can get involved, like them on facebook or check out their website.
I’d set myself the task of eliminating all plastics from my packaging, here is what I did with Matt & Kelli’s thank you cards recently.
They’re printed on 100% recycled paper, presented in reusable materials and hand delivered :)
I think the whole package turned out pretty cute!
We’ve planted a variety of seeds in our little green house a few days ago, and so far the thyme has been the first ones to make an appearance. It is such a beautiful sight so see, so little and delicate!
This beautiful horses name is Bob and he did a wonderful job of bringing Kelli to wed Matt at Brookleigh in Swan Valley, Western Australia.
Kate & David married on the 7th January 2012, at the beautiful Villa Pourzand.
While David has been working away for the past 2 years they sent love letters back and forth until they exchanged final letters to each other during their ceremony, as David has returned to work in Perth permanently where they can now begin their lives together under one roof. There was more than a few teary eyes in the room by this point.
Live jazz band Alcatraz had everyone up and dancing all night
